Sunday Mornings

12pm service

This is an all age-service with sung worship, teaching and prayer, held at the Church of the Ascension, SE10 8AN. We are all together for the first part of the service and then the children and youth go into their own groups for the second part. Each group is led by two volunteers who are DBS registered. Our services are led by a team of people from The Bear so every Sunday is unique. They are led from the front but everyone is encouraged to participate and everyone is welcome. The service finishes at 1pm.

Children and Young People

Children of all ages are involved in the life of The Bear. We have the following groups:

• Gloworms 0 - 2

• Fireflies 3 - 4

• Electric Eels 5 - 7

• Flame Fish 8 - 11

• Youth 12 - 18

Sunday Evenings

6.30pm Church on the Street

Church on the Street is held at the Evelyn Community Centre, SE8 5TQ. Soup and bread is served from 6.30pm for local people who may not otherwise get a meal. From 7.30 until 8.30pm there is time for worship, testimonies and teaching. Be prepared to introduce yourself, say how your week has been and share communion with others from the Deptford community.
