THE BEAR CHURCH
‘Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.’
Ephesians 2: 19-20
LFW – is off! Just for a week though and back on 16 April. Wishing you a very Happy Easter. Remember it’s ok to put all your eggs in one basket.
Sunday Morning – Money March is over, but as in the words of a certain infamous character, ‘It will be back!’ For those of you who weren’t able to make it this month, three of the talks are on the webpage. Catch up if you can in the comfort of your own home, without the beady eye of the speaker on you. This week we’re taking a whole different turn as we welcome Chine MacDonald to talk to us about race and reconciliation in the community, so push back the curtain and see what’s occurring.
Next Sunday 9 April – a more practical session on contemplative prayer and hearing from God, based on Jesus’ words at the last supper.
The Evening Service – Each week we welcome to the Bear those who are coping with homelessness, addictions and extremely difficult life situations. It’s the first Sunday of the month, so no evening service this week, but the kitchen will be open again on 9 April. We need help cooking and setting up next week from 4.30pm or serving/washing up from 6pm. Everyone over 16 yrs is welcome to come and help. Click on link to book for next week and further ahead to help: http://tinyurl.com/qz9wrfl
