NXDFFF – Kung-Fu Panda! We will be opening the Bear for a FREE showing of Kung-Fu Panda THIS Saturday at 11am (doors open 10.30/45) With a PG rating this one is fun for all ages. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase before the film. Make sure everyone knows....
Sunday Morning – It’s London Marathon Week, so that means NO MORNING SERVICE at the Bear this Sunday. For anyone who would still like to gather and support the runners, meet at 10.30 am at the Evelyn Street end of the High Street.
Walk and Picnic – at Shorne Woods THIS Sunday 23 April. Shorne Wood is a country park with woodland walks, outdoor play areas for children and a café. Meet in the car park at 12.30pm. The Evening Service – Each week we welcome to the Bear those who are coping with homelessness, addictions and extremely difficult life situations. It’s the first Sunday of the month, so no evening service this week, but the kitchen will be open again on 9 April. We need help cooking and setting up next week from 4.30pm or serving/washing up from 6pm. Everyone over 16 yrs is welcome to come and help. NXDFF - Following on from Kung-Fu Panda we will be showing SPOTLIGHT (15) Tuesday 25 April. This one is suitable for adults and youth 15+. (Bring ID) The true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm showing. Bar with drinks and snacks to purchase. This is a great opportunity to open our doors, meet our neighbours and share our vision. Women’s Prayer Lunch – Wednesday 26 April 1pm at Claire C’s home in Brockley. If you’ve not been before it’s a way to meet other women at the Bear, eat lunch together, chat and pray. Global – Tuesday 2 May 8pm Once a month a small team of us meet to pray, ask for vision and discuss practical ways of supporting members of the Bear that work abroad. That includes friends in Central Asia, Egypt, Kurdistan and recently Wendy Power in Cambodia. If you would like to join with us and support these fantastic people, please speak to Iain or Sally.

BEAR MENS WEEKEND - 30 June - 2 July in Norfolk. Get away from London with other men/youth from the Bear, sail blithely on the River Thurne, (land activities available), eat copious amounts of meat (unless you’re vegetarian), make new bromances (or not) and generally chill out. £60 for the weekend. Cry Walk – the 11th annual fund raising London Bridges Walk is on Sunday 9 July. CRY is a charity, which works to support families who have lost young people and to save lives by raising awareness about Sudden Cardiac Death.
