Week Beginning Sunday 13 April 2025

The Bear Essentials: PALM SUNDAY EDITION 🌿

For the week beginning Sunday 13th April 2025

“Shout and cheer, Daughter Zion!
    Raise your voice, Daughter Jerusalem!
Your king is coming!
a good king who makes all things right,
a humble king riding a donkey,
a mere colt of a donkey.
I’ve had it with war—no more chariots in Ephraim,
no more war horses in Jerusalem,
no more swords and spears, bows and arrows.
He will offer peace to the nations,
    a peaceful rule worldwide,
from the four winds to the seven seas.
Zechariah 9: 9-10

The Lord's Prayer: Bear Church Lent 2025 version
Our God in heaven, holy is your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever.
Amen.

A SPECIAL FAREWELL

After 14 years (or maybe more!) Tracy will be stepping down from her role as Finance Officer. We want to thank her for holding the purse strings with integrity, honesty, and great attention to detail. Tracy will be moving on to give more time to mentoring foster carers and to advocate wider for children in care, whilst continuing to provide foster care.

May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. 🍃
