Message from Marjie
I’ve had the joy of being part of The Bear Church for some 16+ years, building friendships, working together and seeing the many changes that have been part of our journey. However, for the past year or so I have become aware that the path I’m on is now heading in a different direction to that of The Bear, and have reached the conclusion that it’s time to move on and into the next part of my own kingdom journey.
I’ve loved being part of this amazing community; I hold so many of you in my heart and that won’t change. Seasons change but love remains, as does being part of one body. I’m not going far; in fact you could say that I’m just going back to my roots. As a born and bred Peckham girl, it seems good to “go local” and become part of the family at All Saints Church, which I will hopefully be doing over the coming weeks and months.
Thank you for the many blessings I’ve received, for love and friendship and for giving me space to play my part in the story of The Bear Church. Love, hugs and blessings, Marjie

Ignite in Advent: Hosted by the iNet community, the evening will start with some mulled wine and international snacks. Candlelit Soul event: Sally, Suzy, Keith and Suzanne are all members of Soul Choir who will be hosting a night of soul and pop classics by candlelight at Borough Hall Greenwich on Sunday 7th December @ 6:30pm. Tickets are £20 / £17 concession and all profits go to Doctors Without Borders. For more details, check the flyer attached.

Deptford Ragged School history talk: Katharine and colleague, John price, are doing a Lewisham Heritage talk on history of the Deptford Ragged School at Deptford Lounge, Weds December 10th @ 6.30pm. All welcome, tickets are free but need to book through this link.
Salvation Army Toy Appeal: The Salvation Army are holding their annual Christmas Toy Appeal, helping to provide toys for children across Lewisham borough who would otherwise go without. The need for help has increased, so please take time to read the attached information to see if you might be able to help.
