COMING UP
The Big Community Lunch - as a part of the nation's The Big Lunch get-togethers, we are hosting The Bear Church Community Lunch, Sunday 8th June in the Bear Church on Frankham Street at 12:30-3:30pm! The event is for the whole community of Deptford so please bring a plate of food to share with others. In addition to lunch there will be music, face painting and any other activities people volunteer to do. If you can help in some way on the day or in preparing some of the food on Saturday 7th June (at the Evelyn Community Centre from 09.15 – 13.15) please contactTim Fallon. Please note: the worship service that day will also be at Bear Church at 10:30am.
Environmental Awareness presentation - on Wednesday 11th June at 7pm, join us for a 45 minute online session led by a Sustainability Consultant, exploring the impact of climate change and how we're working to reduce our footprint. Email bex@thebear.tv for more info or to get involved.
Isle of Dogs walking tour - after the morning service on 15th of June, Amanda and Richard will lead a walking tour to the Isle of Dogs to talk through their outreach. We will head through the foot tunnel and end with a pub lunch, wrapping up around 5:30pm.
Gather - due to the bank holiday and other schedule clashes, the next two Gather nights have had to be moved to the 2nd of June and the 7th of July (UPDATED DATE) @ 7:30pm. These nights are for anyone who would like to meet for an extended time of worship.
Baptisms at The Bear - we can now confirm that we will be holding a baptism service on 29th June at 10:30am in the new building. So exciting! We already have a few people who have stepped forward to be baptised, so if you are interested or just want to know more, email bex@thebear.tv.

Springs Summer Dance Week 2025 - a refreshing week of dance and community as we experience God's goodness through moving, creating and reflecting together. Suitable for anyone aged 16+ (14+ if accompanied by an adult). It takes place at City Church Cambridge, 12-14 Cheddars Lane, Cambridge CB5 8LD from Monday 28th July - Friday 1st August.
