The Bear Essentials - week beginning Sunday 27 November 2022

'I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us'

Romans 8:18

More Sad News - on Monday, Moira Kerrane, Kelly Hunt's cousin and a Deptford legend, tragically passed away. Moira really did work tirelessly for the local community and was a great supporter of The Bear and everything we do. She will be missed, and our thoughts and prayers are with Kelly, Dre (Moira's son) and all her family and friends.

The service will - hopefully, if we can get it to work - be on Zoom ID 827 3994 6736 Password November

Sunday Evening Service - at the Evelyn Community Centre, SE8 5TQ. Do sign up to chop, cook, serve, pray, chat, hoover etc - even once in a while makes a massive difference to the team: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ccsNLURWTUbVmxjheJm7Gpl3IC2RVC-q6CojEwRAN5I/edit?usp=sharing

The Ragged Project

Everything is signed, sealed and delivered and demolition started on Wednesday. It's actually happening! A massive thank you to our Trustees and J49 for getting us this far. We still need lots of money, so please ask for publicity resources if you know any philanthropists or benefactors who are looking for a project to invest in. Do also speak one of the leaders if you have a fundraising idea up your sleeve. For the glory of God and the good of the poor.
