Last year we were encouraged / inspired / challenged by the incomparable Michelle Powell to join her in the Penny a Day saving challenge to raise funds for The Ragged Project. The call has been sounded once again, so if you would like to consider giving it a go, this is how it works:
Every day of the year you save one penny more than the day before
ie. January 1st = 1p, January 2nd = 2p, January 3rd = 3p etc.
By the end of the year you have saved £667.95!

Thanksgiving service : an open invitation for supporters of Lewisham Foodbank to gather to worship, hear stories, give thanks for what God has done and pray for current needs and challenges. The service will take place at St Lawrence Church in Bromley on Thursday January 26th at 7pm. See flyer attached for more details.
Creative Voices, Activist Voices exhibition : this exhibition is a accumulation of a research project that sought to explore the question: To what extent can finding your creative voice unlock your wider civic activist voice, and what might be the potential barriers or social inequalities preventing this from happening? Come check out the launch event on Saturday January 17th from 3-5pm at the The Hub in Bromley where you can meet the research team and take part in some creative activities. South East London prayer gathering : St Peter's church in Brockley are hosting a joint prayer gathering for churches in South East London on January 21st, starting at 7.30pm until 9pm. A mix of worship, praying all together, and praying in groups - pretty free flowing but with a focus on heaven coming to SE London!
